www.artbycadams presents The Girlfriend Collection!
Hello Friends! I
have new art! www.artbycadams.com. You are about to see it first.
I like the fellowship of women. These are the women who will tell you the truth in a kind way. They will reveal themselves to you because they trust you will be kind and confidential.
My motto to all my girlfriends is I don’t care who you voted for, where or if you choose to worship, who you love or what trouble you might be in. I am your friend and I will stay that way. We have each other’s back. These special women inspire me to be better tomorrow than I am today.
These are the relationships that will last your entire lifetime. They are important and precious. You need to take care. I am blessed with wonderful and influential friends who are men. I just haven’t yet decided if I should name it the Boyfriend Collection or Collection of Men. Cherish your friends. You might not see them often but when you do see one another your friendship is as you left it.
“Dawn” is newly added to The Girlfriend Collection. Girlfriends are those you trust and who trust you. Girlfriends have your back. They tell you the truth in a kind way. They have attributes you admire. You don’t care who they voted for, you don’t sleep with their significant others, and they don’t do that to you.
Dawn is a forest spirit. She does not create the garden. She IS the garden. Dawn has ups and downs, but she moves forward and stays in the moment. Dawn cares deeply about those she loves, and she accepts each of us for who we are.
I want to adopt parts of Dawn’s character that I admire and I need to develop.
Dawn is a long canvas print. She is available at www.artbycadams.com. Sizes are 12x36, and 12x24.
“Connie” and “Susan” are also newly added to The Girlfriend Collection. Connie is like the wise warrior woman to me. Connie is a cancer survivor. She lost loved ones to cancer.
Her grief turned to fierce fighting back. Connie is part of a group of female cancer survivors who paddle competitively in 42’ long canoes called dragon boats. Their mission is to provide ‘sport, support, and personal empowerment’ for female cancer survivors. Most have turned their cancer experiences into a positive springboard for a renewed and evolved life. They have found the kind of community and camaraderie that eludes many people in the age of social media. They have taken lemons (their cancer experiences) and made lemonade. As part of her metamorphosis, Connie retired from the corporate world and is a Tai Chi and Pilates instructor.
If you are Canadian, I named this painting Susan. Susan paddles for the Arnprior Dragon Boat Club. The ADBC is a community service organization dedicated to inspiring health and fitness, for all ages through the sport of dragon boat racing.
If you purchase this piece in the United States 15% of the profit from the sales of these canvas prints will go to Team Survivor Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida. 15% of the profit will go to the Dragon Boat organization in Tampa, Florida.
If you order in Canada 30% of the proceeds will go to the Dragon Boat organization in Arnprior, Ontario. This group competed in France last year. Susan is a Warrior Woman. She is that person in my life to strides forward, no matter what obstacles she faces. She swallows her fear and meets her challenges.
My oil painting of “Sharon” is bright, colorful and long. I asked Sharon what her favorite look in fashion is. Bohemian modern. I asked her what her favorite colors are. Yellow, red, black. What I admire about Sharon is that she always moves forward and doesn’t look back. She learned from her past but is in constant motion and determined. I love that about her. I need to take that attribute and learn how to stay in the present.
This is “Debi”. I asked Debi what her favorite period is in women’s fashion and she chose Victorian. I think it was mostly the hats that attracted her. Her favorite color is dusty rose. Debi is much like a wise medicine woman to me. She goes at her own pace; she lets things roll off. I need to learn that skill. Debi has elegant hands, but she wouldn’t let me paint them. I gloved her up and painted her doing a peek-a-boo. Debi has a quirky sense of humor and outstanding common sense.
I celebrate the incredible women, I share my life with each one of them, just as these special people share their lives with me. These are people who enrich my existence and therefore I protect the friendships.
All the art produced by artbycadams.com is made in the USA if that’s where you live, and Canada if you live there. All art is shipped via UPS. Shipping is free. These canvas prints are top quality. They don’t need a frame and are ready to hang. They come in 2 sizes, 8”x24” or 12”x36”. Of course, you name them as you choose. I would love to hear who your Girlfriends are. And to all the guys who I hold dear – just wait! The collection continues!
